The d2-R test is designed to measure attention and concentration. It is a revised version of the earlier d2 test. The tool is extremely useful in recruitment and selection processes and in professional counselling. It can be applied in clinical research (neuropsychological and psychiatric) and in scientific programs.

The d2-R test is designed to measure attention and concentration. It is a revised version of the earlier d2 test. Revisions include an extra exercise sheet containing instructions, examples and exercises; enlarged number of characters in each line and a self-copying sheet for performance assessment as well as simplified score calculation.

The examinee task is to cross out within a limited period of time particular symbols from among the group of similar symbols presented to him/her. The test scores provide indices which allow to assess ability to concentrate as well as speed and accuracy of work performance.

The d2-R test can be applied wherever it is important to check attention, concentration, ability to work under pressure as well as work speed and accuracy. Main application areas are those related to drivers assessment, assessement of candidates for jobs which are difficult, dangerous or require more attention and concentration, assessement of persons with central nervous system damages as well as to psychiatric examination.

The tool is extremely useful in recruitment and selection processes and in professional counselling. It can be applied in clinical research (neuropsychological and psychiatric) and in scientific programs.

Reliability

Very high internal consistency coefficients; high stability as proved in German research studies.

Validity

Expected correlations were proved with tools measuring attention focus (TUS), executive functions (CTT), verbal memory (CVLT) and visual memory (BVRT and DCS-II). The validity is also proved by the fact that the older the examinees the lower their scores in all indices.

Norms

For adults aged 20–79.

Ukończone studia magisterskie z psychologii – wymagane przedłożenie kopii dyplomu
Osoby, które mają tytuł doktora psychologii, a nie ukończyły studiów psychologicznych, mogą kupować testy wyłącznie do celów naukowych – wymagany dyplom doktorski wraz z oświadczeniem informującym, że test będzie stosowany tylko do celów naukowych.
