The Conners 3® questionnaires are perfect ancillary tools to assess ADHD and collateral disorders such as conduct and oppositional defiant disorders in children and adolescents aged 6–18. The assessment covers various fields of the child's activities allowing for a profile analysis and enabling to define the strictly individual character of a given child's problems. The CONNERS 3 questionnaires can be used for screening purposes and for fitting therapeutic interventions to the child's specific needs, controlling their advances and modifying them if needed. They are also applicable in the ADHD, CD or ODD research, for example to evaluate new forms of therapy.
The battery includes two versions for a teacher-rater (full-length and short), two version for a parent-rater (full-length and short) and two self-rating versions (full-length and short) designed for the group aged 8–18. The parallel use of the teacher and parent versions allows to compare the child's behaviour at home and at school. Comparing ratings of more than one teacher allows, in turn, to compare the child's behaviour during various classes and a more comprehensive assessment of a degree of his/her adaptation to the school environment.
The administration time of the full-length version is 25 min., that of the short version – 10 min.
The questionnaires include content scales (Inattention, Hyperactivity/Impulsivity, Learning Problems, Executive Functioning, Defiance/Aggression, Peer Relations, Family Relations), validity scales (Positive Impression, Negative Impression, Inconsistency Index), DSM symptom scales (ADHD Inattentive, ADHD Hyperactive/Impulsive, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder) and additional items (screener items, impairment items and additional open questions).
Specific way of scores re-calculation allows to define the probability (in %) of ADHD.

Reliability
Very high or high internal consistency, high stability of most scales, rather high rating consistency of two parents rating one child and slightly lower consistency of two teachers rating one child.
Validity
Empirically proved discriminative validity – the test discriminates ADHD assessed children from those with other clinical assessements (original validation study); in the Polish validation study the group of ADHD assessed adolescents was compared with a sample of general population, a sample of respondents with depression symptoms, and a sample of the ASD assessed. Moreover, convergent and distinctive validities were proved by correlations with scores on ADHD measuring questionnaires (original validation study) and with scores on the appropriate ASRS® and CDI 2™ scales (Polish validation study).
Norms
Both gender-specific and gender-neutral; separate for each age group; norms for each version (S, R, N) developped by means of a quota sample – 3000 questionnaires in total.
The test is also available as an online examination on the Epsilon Platform and as an option for entering and calculating scores from the paper-and-pencil version on the Epsilon Platform.
