The 35th Scholarly Reunion of the Polish Psychological Association “Psychology in the changing world”

2014-09-24

The reunion took place in Bydgoszcz on 18-21 September 2014. Sessions and workshops were held in the main building of the Kazimierz Wielki University. Representatives of the Laboratory participated in both sessions and workshops, as well as in the poster session.

On the second day of the Reunion Joanna Stańczak (together with Alicja Czerederecka) presented a research report on Polish normalization of the Rorschach test according to Exner's system, and Emilia Wrocławska-Warchala made a presentation of the Instruments for diagnosing ADHD, depression and autism spectrum disorders in children. Diana Fecenec together with Aleksandra Jaworowska organized a workshop devoted to The new instrument for the assessment of small children's development and intelligence (IDS-P, or Scales of Intelligence and Development for Children in the Kindergarten Age). Aleksandra Jaworowska and Urszula Brzezińska participated in the poster session: the former presented the poster Polish adaptation of the Link Burnout Questionnaire, and the latter the one entitled Professional diagnostic competence as an index of the effective use of tests in professional practice – standards for psychological tests users in business EuroTest – WO (Polish adaptation of the EFPA project).

On the third day Maria Rafalak presented The IRT analyses of the CFT 20-R test with the purpose of creating the computer adaptive test. Joanna Stańczak (together with Emilia Łojek, Agnieszka Wójcik, Karolina Kołosowska, and Ernest Tyburski) presented the paper entitled Effectiveness of performance functions and readiness to advise a person with problems as related to the process of healing in the patients with depression. Longitudinal research with the use of KPD. Urszula Brzezińska participated in the poster session presenting the poster Model of the four leadership styles WERK. Identification of the leadership styles in the relational perspective: compatibility of the superiors' self-diagnosis with assessments of their style by their subordinates.

We also prepared our stand where the Laboratory's offer was presented and our newly released instruments could be viewed. It was also possible to trial our electronic platform EPSILON and get information materials.

One part of our stand was given entirely to the Reunion participants: they could write down their suggestions and ideas on stickers having the form of a fish and then stick them to “aquarium” printed on the wall behind the stand. Suggestions we thereby collected will be analyzed and responded to in a separate announcement.

We also prepared a stickers game the purpose of which was to encourage to visit all the places where our representatives were present (thematic sessions, workshops, poster sessions, Aquarium of ideas, the EPSILON presentation) and to collect as many stickers as possible. The participants who joined our game received small gifts.

We would like to thank all those who, in such a big number, visited our stand for their remarks and suggestions.
