The 24th meeting of the European Test Publishers Group - Istanbul 2014

2014-05-27

The 24th meeting of the European Test Publishers Group (ETPG), which gathers all the leading publishers of psychological tests in Europe, was held on 22-23 May 2014 in Istanbul. The Laboratory has been a member of the Group since 2012 and this was the second meeting we attended. Another Polish accent was the presence of Prof. Emilia Łojek from the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Warsaw. She was asked to give a lecture on the current trends in brain research and possible applications of nanoscience in test building.  Her lecture entitled “Recent Developments in Neuropsychology and Their Possible Influence on Testing and Assessment” inspired a vivid interest.

The ETPG meetings are unique occasion to enter into and maintain contacts between publishers, share experiences and discuss current issues. This year the principal topic in many discussions was the question of intellectual property, copyright security and prevention of unauthorized test circulation. The topic will be debated again during a discussion panel organized jointly by ETPG and ITC (Internation Test Commission) as a part of this year ITC conference in San Sebastian.

The magic atmosphere of the conference venue, Istanbul, which is one of only two cities in the world located on two continents, may be experienced thanks to the photos.
