The Psychological Test Laboratory entered into partnership agreement with the Tischner European University, Cracow to co-organize postgraduate studies in Career Counseling. Our experts will develop a program of classes in Using Diagnostic Tools for career counselors, which will take place in the 2nd and 3rd semester. The classes will be conducted by our employee, Marta Koć-Januchta.

Maria Rafalak, employed in the Psychological Test Laboratory of the Polish Psychological Association, is currently taking part in a three-month scientific internship at University of Cambridge Psychometrics Centre (UK). Laboratory representatives took part in the 30th International Congress of Psychology, held in Cape Town, South Africa, 22 – 27 July 2012.

Joanna Stańczak presented validation research about Polish adaptation of the Color Trail Test, and Diana Fecenec presented results of the validation research of the Children Development Scale – original Laboratory test for development assessment of small children.

The 8th international conference devoted to standards of psychological testing and advanced methods of data analysis was organized 3rd-5th July 2012 in Amsterdam by the ITC International Test Commission (The 8th ITC Conference of the International Test Commission, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands).

Laboratory representatives took part in a workshop and the 47th symposium organized 25-29 April 2012 by the Minnesota University Press, dedicated to the clinical interpretation and newest research on MMPI-2 & MMPI-2-RF.

On invitation of the EFPA EuroTest WO Polish Expert Group and project partners – Psychological Test Laboratory of the Polish Psychological Association and Business Development Institute, Poland was visited by Pat Lindley, PhD –  psychologist of work and organization,  an expert psychologist registered in the British Psychological Society, active for years in the European Federation of Psychologists' Associations EFPA.

31 March 2012 there was held the 1st Scientific Training Conference: PROBLEMS OF PSYCHOLOGICAL DIAGNOZING: SELECTED RESEARCH METHODS, organized by Polish Psychological Association, Lublin branch with the Psychology Institute of the John Paul 2nd Catholic University of Lublin.

On the 8-9 March 2012 in Brussels, there were held meetings of the Board of Assessment (BoA), and Test User Accreditation Committee (TUAC), operating within the European Federation of Psychologists' Associations (EFPA). Representatives of the Polish Psychological Association – Aleksandra Jaworowska and Urszula Brzezińska from the Laboratory were present.

In the last weeks a heated argument developed about using projective tests. The discussion was initiated by the Polish Skeptics’ Club, which made the Rorschach cards public along with examples of “safe answers”. The Laboratory would like to outline the official position on this problem.
